Post by superka »

hi all,

i'm a new mobile and desktop user..

the issue i meet is during the sync beetwen my iPhone4 and Macbook with iComptadesktop/Mobile.

I'm just able to sync devices only using iPhone4 thetering network, while cannot using my home wireless network..

Have you got any suggestions? Have i to set any preferences on macBook pro?

Desktop version is: 4.0.7 (actually shareware)

Mobile version is iCompta2: 2.2.3

thanks in advance

Does iCompta Mac find your iPhone or not ?
Can you send me log messages of the mobile version after trying to sync ?

Make sure you launch iCompta on the iPhone before trying to sync. What kind of network do you have at home ? WiFi via a wireless modem / router or something else ?

"Bonjour" has to be enabled to let the Mac find your iPhone and maybe your router has too restrictive firewall settings that prevent it from working.
Yes please tell me model and brand and I'll check if I can find something.

Yes but in fact I don't need it as your iPhone isn't found by the Mac.

maybe the problem is more simple then imaged..

i'm a newbee for mac and maybe should i set something particular on firewall configuration? Should i enable iCompta work with macbook firewall? Or should i stop the firewall at all?

What you mean for "Bonjour has to be enabled to let the Mac find your iPhone"? What should i do?

Sorry for those stupid questions and thanks for your patience :)

Yes you should try that.

Bonjour is a protocol that allows devices to find and connect to other devices on the network and it can be blocked if your firewall is too restrictive.
