Creating a checking account with a balance

Hi

I am starting to evaluate iCompta for Mac, so I installed the demo version to try it out. I currently use the old MS Money but I which to move on to a more current application.

I am trying to create some data to "play around", based on my existing data, and created a bank account. This account has a starting balance, I can't find a way to say to iCompta what is that balance without creating a new transaction specifically for that.

Is there a different way to do it?

You have to create an "Initial balance" transaction indeed.
