I have just sent a copy of an iCompta document via email to my email address. I now have received a cdb zip file in my mail. Can you kindly remind me how to open this as a new separate document in iCompta? Thanks

You just have to select the attachment in the mail app and there is an "Open with" action that let you choose "iCompta 6" to open the document.
Be aware that the document will share the same internal synchronization identifier as the original document so both documents will synchronize together if you make changes.

I do not see an "Open with iCompta" under my options. Also, How can I create a copy that will not synchronize with the original document?
