Don't know if this is a problem with MacOS 10.11.6 or with iCompta 6.
While iCompta 5 and iCompta 6 have different icons in the Applications folder, in the Dock they both show the iCompta 5 icon.

Oh, if I have iCompta6 running and go to iCompta>About iCompta, I get this:
So, I'm going to archive the iCompta 5 application and database, then move the originals to the trash. I'll restart my iMac and see what happens.

No Joy. Where is the plist for iCompta stored? Perhaps if I deleted it?
BTW, the icon for iCompta6 is extremely close to the icon for the current 1Password when both are very small:
