Can't adjust columns

The ones on the second row won't budge and I can't change their size. I've adjusted the top row columns, but this has no effect on the second row. Thanks.

You can see how the category column always appears on the second bar belowe, which makes it impossible for me to see.

The second row of columns are for the splits so you need to select a transaction for it to expand and show it splits.
