Any difference between Transfers via context menu and splits

In iCompta5 is there any difference in the way transfers are handled if the menu "Convert as transfer" is used instead of creating the transfer via the Splits+ method?

I converted a large number of transactions to transfers via the menu before finding out how the splits method works and I am wondering if there is any advantage to re-doing them using Splits.

Convert as transfer use splits so it's really the same at the end.
