Check management

Post by jerome.lenoir »

Hello,

I am quite new on iCompta. I use it on my Ipad. And it works great.
I have a question regarding checks management.

In the documentation, I read
"You can create several credit cards and checkbooks per account.
These informations are meant to be used in the transaction info field in order to precise the kind of an transaction such as the card used in case of a credit card transaction or the number of the check in case of a check transaction.
When you select a checkbook in the completion menu, its next check number is automatically incremented."
I tried to use this autonumbering of checks but I cannot make it work.
I set up the next check number on my checking account. I created a transaction typed "check" but nor the number is brought automatically in my transaction, nor the number in my account master data is changing.

Where I am wrong?

Thanks for your help

regards

Click on the number field to edit it and your checkbook should be shown as a completion under the field. If you select it, it will automatically be replaced with the next check number.

Sorry but I don't find any "number field" when I enter my transaction.
I have Kind and Info. Nowhere I see a "Number field"

Perfect.

Thanks a lot.

Congratulation for your app that is very good and very helpful.

Regards

Jerome

PS: I still just miss one last thing that would make it perfect for me: A report of transactions by payee (whatever account has been used) and a report of transactions by category (whatever account has been used) without having to do a "search" function by account.
