Ipad Version

Post by Howhard »

When is their going to be a guide for the iPad

It is (seems) different to both the Mac version and the iPhone version with its own little twists.
It appears to be missing some of the functionality of both so a guide would be very useful

The iPad version is exactly the same as the iPhone version except the home screen which is split.

if i look at the help User Guide 2.2.10 on the site or using the ? in the iPad app, there are differences for example:-
Transactions: there are 5 icons at the bottom in the guide, but only 4 on the iPad of which 3 are the same
Backup: its totally different, there is nothing available other than email
Can you help ?

The user guide is not really up to date but please ask a specific question and I'll answer it.

Ok i have the account set up, but it would not dl automatically, I have to use the globe icon.

I have all my bills and income in the transactions of the account, and i like that it shows the balance of the account after the transaction would go through, but it does not show my cheque going in every two weeks in the month, only shows one instance. I would like to be able to change that or see the transactions on a calendar with the balance of my account if I pay the bills or get income. Hopefully that makes sense.

The scheduler shows that, but does not have a balance that is displayed...

little help, thanks!!

Yes this is intended to be this way.

You can force the creation of the next occurrence of your repeating transactions by going in the transaction screen and clicking on the "Show next occurrence" button.

thanks for the answer.

I have done that for all transactions, and set to show 1 month in advance. The problem is that in june, as an example, it only displays one of my paycheques, not 2, this throws off my planning for the month, as i can not see the actual balance of my account. Once that next transaction clears i have no doubt that the other cheque will show up, they occur every other friday, so about twice a month. I need to be able to "tell" that transaction to display more than the next occurance.

Thanks again!

ok i have most everything sorted out now.

couple of questions left:

how should i be reconciling transactions? how is it that a bill that i paid online gets matched with the transaction i created?

is there a way to view the upcoming bills on a calendar? if not can it please be added!! lol

thanks
