Hello,
I also lost all my categories when trying to make rules work as well as possible.
It was one of my first attempt, so nothing crutial has been lost.
Nevetheless, I would claim a feature in iCompta: the possibility to lock confirmed transaction in order to be sure that none of the information (date, montant cathégorie) can be affected by any automatic rule or bad click.
Would it be possible ?
PS: I didn't read everything on this forum, maybe this has already been suggested. Sorry if so.
Nicolas

Re: iCompta Suggestions
You can cancel an action by hitting Apple + Z so if your rules go wrong you can revert to the previous state this way.
Re: iCompta Suggestions
Any idea when v4 might be released?
Another donation in order assuming it's got the missing features!

Some suggestions in addition:
- I miss a Rule for categories
- possibility to change the languages in the app.
- the possibility to have two different currency in one account (When I write $ 40 its changing allways into € 40, only because the rest is in Euro to, I think it is not that complicated? But I have no idea of doing such things.
- Is it possible that when for example the month december is over, everything of december is hided in the name? and when you click on december it will drop out? this will make it much clearer to use.
- if the just mentioned is possible, is it possible to write in every month the sum of expenditure and revenue?
image to explain the last two ponints:
i want to know in the end of the month whether I did just for this month minus or plus

Re: iCompta Suggestions
What about payees? Are you planning to add a "payee" field for transaction? (for not to add a "person account" for every payee you want to register... I'm usually not interested in reconcile account with this "payees", so I don't consider them as "persons" in the way iCompta manage persons).
Thanks in advance.

Could you explain a little more these 2 points, I don't really understand what you ask.Benjamin wrote:- I miss a Rule for categories

This is definitely a good idea, I will try to do this one day.Benjamin wrote:- the possibility to have two different currency in one account (When I write $ 40 its changing allways into € 40, only because the rest is in Euro to, I think it is not that complicated? Yes maybe, but why don't you just include the payee in the name field ?cascaman wrote:What about payees? Are you planning to add a "payee" field for transaction? hm ok... well you can create types like food, friends or mobile phone billings etc. I want to have the possibility if the name of a transaction has the name "mcdonalds" in it, it is going automatically into the type "food". This option I miss in "rules"... clearer?Angeman wrote:Could you explain a little more these 2 points, I don't really understand what you ask.Benjamin wrote:- I miss a Rule for categories

Re: iCompta Suggestions
oh... you are right. but the german translation is absolutely wrong. it must be "Typ setzen auf" instead of "Buchung setzen auf"
