Best way to archive old years

What's the best way to save off previous reconciled years to a file and only keep the current year? Is that a feature that could be added?

You can duplicate your .compta file in the Finder and then remove old transactions using the clean feature in the original file.

What if I want to have all past years in one file (for analysis) but only current year to be synchronized in Iphpne?
Could it be implemented?
For example synchronise only past 12 month (with clean older transactions on iphone)...
