Lost all Data

We are trial users with 10 days left to use the software.
Yesterday there was an update that came up when we started the program. We completed the update and now accounts on left side of the window and ALL prior entries and categories are gone.
What has happened?
We have been using save regularly but I can not find icompata data files?
Would appreciate any assistance you can give.
