Importing OFX, QIF, CSV from other finance program into iCompta works fine. But, when "exporting" icompta file in CSV format, for example, to other finance programs
"sometime" gives date format problem. The iCompta would give MM/dd/yy format as default. Is there a way to change this by the user, i.e, dd/mm/yy or yyyy/mm/dd and etc?

dd/MM/yy or yyyy/MM/dd are fine just be careful to put MM and not mm.

I experienced problems with the date for imported data.

QIF data made the month value 01. However, the days were correct and the year. I adjusted these month values manually.

When I imported the same data from CSV, it didn't really recognise the data at all. But when i imported some QFX data, that worked perfectly.

Of course I played around with the CSV data format & the date import format in iCompta.

Overall though, I am very impressed with iCompta and look forward to future improvements.

I'd like to be able to view scheduled transactions in a separate view. I bought the iPhone App and think that this is spot on. The Sync works well and the of future transactions is excellent. I'd like to see an export via email, as a backup so if I lost , iphone and hadn't synced I could import the exported data to icompta & re-sync when I got a replacement iphone.

That's certainly because you put mm instead of MM in the date format.

Hello, I have troubles with importing of Microsoft Money Data (*.qif).
I tried several Things, of corse also dd/MM''yyyy. But i always get the date interpreted with todays date.
Maybe the Problem is in the +.qif file. There is a "D" in Front of the date, so the Date is like "D13.09'2007"

You have to type two single quotes ' and not one double quote ".

I have the same problem as user 1050er but I couldn't solve with the date format you suggested. I have a .qif file created by Microsoft Money 2003 (british version) and I wanna import it in Icompta for Snow Leopard (italian): dates show always todays date...
