Cannot Add Debit Transaction

I'm not sure if this is due to an upgrade to 3.3.3 but I "downgraded" to 3.3.2 and it still has the same issue. I'm currently using Snow Leopard.
Whenever I try to add a withdrawal (debit) transaction and I type in a debit amount, the text box stays blank and the amount says "0.00". This is regardless of whether or not I use categories and change the percentages or not. If I click an already existing transaction and try to edit the debit amount, it goes blank and changes the amount to "0.00".
When I try adding a deposit amount, it works properly.
The version 3.3.3 was working fine for a while then it suddenly started doing this. Any help would be great!
