Opening iCompta on another Mac

Hi Angeman,
iCompta5.1, OS X 10.9.5, iMac 2.4GHz 4GB, Macbook Air 1.3GHz 4GB
The iMac is the 'master' document and syncs to iCloud (not iCloud Drive) and Dropbox (Dropbox is used purely as a backup).
On the Macbook Air, I can open the iCompta file using "new document from iCloud" and edit as necessary. Syncronisation is setup for iCloud and Dropbox. However, when I try and save the edited file I get the "save as:" dialog.
Is this asking for a 'local save' filename but will still use the master file on iCloud for updates, or is it saving as a new document?
Regards, Keith
