1. When I create a split report with total incomes and expenses, what is considered "expense" for total calculation? The transactions with categories of type "expense" or the transactions with negative values, even if they are of type "income".
2. Is it a good practice in iCompta to use negative values in sub-categories of type "income" so that all sub-categories have the same type?
For example:
- Salary (income)
- Bonus (income)
- Taxes (expense)
In this case I would use the category "Taxes" as an "income" type, with negative values, instead of "expense" type, to not mix category types.

Yes it's ok to do that, it's up to you to choose the way you prefer, really.Aguilberto Junior wrote: ↑11 July 2019, 21:13 2. Is it a good practice in iCompta to use negative values in sub-categories of type "income" so that all sub-categories have the same type?

Re: Questions about reports
And the values of transactions marked as "Refund" are deducted from the category total, are not they?
One more question ...
What is your suggestion for controlling tax-related categories, since iCompta tax reports are limited?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Questions about reports
I would like to make a tax report, but with grouping by just period and taxes category.
I can not delete the option "Tax rate" in the option "Group by".

Ok I should make the taxes report more customizable in a future version.
