comparative report with nested categories

Post by kt123 »

Hi, I have a question regarding the comparative report today.
I have made many nested categories like bellow.
category1
- subcategory1-1
- subcategory1-2
...
category2
- subcategory2-1
- subcategory2-2
...
It is very helpful that the report shows the total amount of subcategories for each main categories,
but are there any ways to open the comparative reports showing only main categories.
I know I can do this by right-clicking the reports and then select the close all option, but I would like to set it default behavior.
Thank you in advance.

You can double click on your comparative report and check the "Show top level items only" box.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
But there is no "Show top level items only" box in my report settings.
There is only "Show total or average of periods" options.
I find the chart settings have that option.

The first one is the report setting and the second one is the chart setting.
The third option in the chart setting is "Show top level items only" option.

Ok so you are probably looking at a splits report and the only way to do what you want is to right-click > close all as you said.
