planned vs fact - compared

Post by zh_olga »

Hi Angeman,

I plan a number of transactions for a month, then I download the actual transactions from bank and categorise them.
Is it possible to see the report that would compare what I had planned and what I actually paid by category?

Could you show me what this line on the instruction means:

Last, if you want to have more control, you can choose which periods to display for each category by clicking on the periods popup button in the category line

because that's what I want: to see planned vs fact by category

There are 3 ways to control which periods are displayed in the budget reporting window :
1 : Just set a date here and it will show the period matching that date for each line of your budget
2 : Select a line here
3 : Select exactly what you want to show for each line

Hi Angeman
thanks a lot for your reply
I was wondering is there a way to represent that same information in the form of table instead of progress bars?
Like this

This is actually the table I get when i select all the info I have in the budget and drag and drop it to Numbers (thank you, the Mac OS magic), but is it possible to get such a table within iCompta? Because when you analyze you find mistakes, you go back to icompta, correct mistakes and you have to redo the table from scratch.
You've got views of budget vs actual in progress bars, in envelopes, is it possible to add a view in form of straight-forward table?

Still not possible directly, you need to drag & drop to Numbers.
