My credit card transfer date is set to 26th every month. I thought that after the date 26 the status of the transfer would go from "Planned" to "Cleared" automatically. However I have to do it manually to adjust the balance in the account. I am doing something wrong?

Yes you do have to change the status manually. This is because the transfer is frozen after its status has changed and so you have to change the status after all transactions of the month have been entered.
