Report for a shared account

Post by andrea01 »

Hello

My girlfried and me use a shared account for common expenses.
I set 2 owners for this account as you listed in the account documentation.
When I create a report only for my expenses, I expect that the transactions of this shared account appear for me with 50%. But the transactions appear with 100%
How can I restrict the expenses in the report only for my own half?
The report transaction filter: [split] owner | contains | <myself>
doesn't reduce the expenses to my own half.

The expected behaviour works, if I split the transaction into two and set for each split a different owner.
Do have to split every transaction into two splits? Eg. by roules?

Thank you for your great application

Double click on the report and add "Owners" in the "Group by" field.

Thank you for your fast response.
I tried you suggestion and it worked instantly. However the report got quite large and I could't apply this configuration to diagramms.
Therefore I stay with my current workaround, that I split the expense to a "partner" category with a custom rule like the following (translated):

all conditions apply:
account is <shared account>
[split] categorie is not nothing // exclude transactions
number of splits is equal 1 // process this rule only once
[split] category is not "partner"

Actions
extract category "partner" with proportion 50%

Then I can exclude the category "partner" by all reports and diagrams.
