Categories icons and colors

I'm customizing the icons of my accounts and categories in iCompta 6. It's a pretty cool feature to improve the look of transactions and reports!
For the categories I have the option to change the icon and color. So when I change the category icon, what is the usefulness of the color setting in this case?
