problem referencing iCloud files as source in the load

a launch of automatic import referencing an iCloud file fails after I update the file outside of icompta, overwriting it.
the launch restarts to execute correctly after I reselect again the same file with the choose file option (re-specify the file in the import config)

on macOS Catalina 10.15.1

workaround adopted: workflow copying to local directory the required files, set icompta to reference the local files.

This is certainly due to sandboxing in Catalina so your workaround is required indeed.

hello, I have been trying also the automatic load of files located in Users\myname\icomptafolder
I still get the same error.

the flow to replicate the error is this
create an import config with reference to a file under users\username
load, validate, save.
the data are now in icompta
overwrite the source file via AppleScript or equivalent.
load again: the load succeeds.
close icompta.
reopen icompta: the load fails.

using latest Catalina available as data of post with icompta 6 latest.
loading data in csv and txt formats.

if I select again manually the file in the import config, the issue disappears.

Definitely a sandboxing enforcement…

any suggestion how to overcome that? granting full disk access to icompta did not solve the issue
with this problem, the "automatic import on open" setting does not work.

It doesn't work because iCompta is not asking for full disk access by default and so even if you give it it doesn't change anything. I will have to rewrite this part entirely to use a different mechanism in iCompta 7.

 thanks! I look forward to an even better iCompta

hello,
this issue is still there and automatic import on opening is still not working. any timeline for when it will be delivered?

I also noticed that if:

I load file X with configuration A
it shows in the validation screen the records of X with configuration A applied
then I load file Y with config. B
it shows in the validation screen the records of Y with configuration A and configuration B applied

this does not happen if I save the file + restart icompta after each load.
