This is mean't as feedback as I have been able to work around it OK now.
V5 refuses to import QIF files, constantly freezes with Kathryn Wheel and needs to be Force Quitted to exit.
V4 will, however, import the same QIF file perfectly OK, I then open that same file with V5.
Obviously something is amiss with v5 QIF import.

Re: QIF Imports into v5.01
Can you send me that QIF file and you V5 accounts file by email so that I can debug and fix it ?

Re: QIF Imports into v5.01
I was able to import both QIF files without any trouble. I am running upcoming update 5.0.2 so either this is something I already fixed or I don't know why it doesn't work for you.
When you kill the app, a system crash window appears normally. Can you click on the send button and copy/paste the details that appear ? Thanks

Re: QIF Imports into v5.01
Hi,
Whilst trying to import the 2 QIF files in question..........one at a time......
a) I can't close the app through the normal "Quit" when the app freezes.
b) When I kill the app through the Mac Force Quit method I do not get a Crash Window.....
May I ask what Encoding you used on import ? (My system always comes up with "UTF-8". (I have tried others which still don't work).
If I "Validate" the settings for Barclays Current.qif in the import screen, then "Validate" the mapping screen, the next screen appears "Imported transactions" which is BLANK.
It is here that I cannot now quit........ I can now only "Force Quit"from this screen and the app.
Tried to send screenshot to demonstrate but file is to big........

Re: QIF Imports into v5.01
This is a bug with "Display transactions on a single line" option that will be fixed in 5.0.2.
You can disable that option in the mean time.

Absolutely correct, that worked........Angeman wrote:This is a bug with "Display transactions on a single line" option that will be fixed in 5.0.2.
