It's because the field has an autocomplete function and is filling it in according to a previous entry you have made or a mistake you made initially. If your talking about "column" heads such as categories, dates, comments, etc... then just right click on the column bar and uncheck the items you don't want visible. If your talkng about the transaction pane on the right, just use the disclose triangle to close those you don't use.

I discovered that if the account view is set to "Detailed transaction" view and you try to import an ofx file the import sheet will display as blank.

I've also noticed that the Accounts pane on the left will not allow scrolling when dragging an account to the top or bottom of the pane.

I seem to no longer be able to import my ofx files using version 4. It lists the debit or credit as 0 and the name of the transactions as New transaction and the date as the current date.

I've opened the ofx files and they are correct.

Is this a known bug?

Yes, I was referring to Check, Credit Card, etc.

I think it's just a localization issue. In the U.S. we may phrase these terms differently or individuals might refer to them differently. Not a big problem. I can edit them as Iona79 suggests.
