It uses all transactions from the account (or group of accounts) and also planned transactions provided their date is before the "Show planned transactions until" date.

Sorry, clearing the "Period" field is not enough indeed, you need to enter "0 day" or "0 month" in that field instead.

You need to adjust the date format setting in the import settings screen according to how the dates are written inside the CSV file. Can you open you CSV file with a text editor and copy/paste one sample date from the file ?
