The "Transaction" pane blocks the right-most columns of the main window. Is there a way of hiding it when I'm not actually entering a transaction?

I am hoping to switch to iCompta both on my G5 iMac and my new iPad2, but the Apple apps store page says that iCompta requires OS 10.6.6, which does not run on a non-Intel Mac. The Lyricapps sales page, however, says that 10.5.8 (which I am running) works. Can anyone clarify this for me?
