Re: New version, if ever - future of icompta?

Developing a new version from scratch is really something that takes a lot of time and work. Agree. Here in these United States there was an excellent application named "PocketMoney" in both desktop and mobile versions (it actually started out as a Newton OS application) made by my friend, Hardy Ma...

Re: Some more suggestions for the next version

Another suggested improvement.
In the Accounts pane the balances are in red or green bubbles, but the text is white. Sometimes this is hard to read so I suggest the text in the bubbles be made black. Even better would be a option in the preferences for the user to select the text color.

Some more suggestions for the next version

-one-click from home page to display all transactions in all accounts
-one-entry one-click search of transactions using any field
-one-screen view of all repeating transactions including overdue, current and future

These are all available in the old PocketMoney (both desktop & iOS) by Hardy Macia

Re: Disappearing accounts

And this is a GOOD example as to why I require either local WiFi or iTFS sync between desktop & mobile. I refuse to use iClod or anything like it.

Re: User Guide Differences?

Solved it! The 69 page version is for the Mac desktop application while the 86 page version is for the iOS app. The confusion is they are both titled "iCompta | Your accounts with ease"! I'm going to add "(Mac)" and "(iOS)" to the titles respectively.

OK, I'll check that when I view the PDFs. Thank you for the quick response.

User Guide Differences?

I have two versions of the User Guide, one of 86 pages and one of 69 pages. Looking at the current version online, it looks like it is the shorter version so I'm wondering what is missing from it that is on the other 17 pages? When I have time, I'll compare them page by page but I thought I'd ask fi...

Re: Suggestion

Then add an option to select a column labeled "Balance" that would show the running balance by each transaction.

Re: iCompta and PocketMoney

My suggestion is to just use iCompta and stay away from Guiseppe's attempt to pass a pale imitation of iCompta as "PocketMoney". I've used PocketMoney Desktop (PMD) and PocketMoney iOS (PMiOS) since 2010 & 2008 respectively, and consider Guiseppe an incompetent developer who has gone out of his way ...

Suggestion

I suggest that the "Preview" column option be renamed "Balance" as the term "Preview" does not make any sense. All other personal finance applications I either use or have used previously use the term "Balance". Examples are Quicken for Mac 2007 LC, PocketMoney Desktop, and iFinance 4.
