OK. That worked fine. I was nervous about corrupting the main file but it worked a treat.

Hi Angeman, iCompta5.1, OS X 10.9.5, iMac 2.4GHz 4GB, Macbook Air 1.3GHz 4GB The iMac is the 'master' document and syncs to iCloud (not iCloud Drive) and Dropbox (Dropbox is used purely as a backup). On the Macbook Air, I can open the iCompta file using "new document from iCloud" and edit as ...
