If you struggle to import QIF files ..

Post by happy_martin »

I spent a lot of time struggling to import my QIF files from iBank this week.

Although my data imported, the month for ever transaction was always importing as 'January'.

I eventually discovered that when setting the date options during the import procedure that the syntax is MM/dd/yy rather than mm/dd/yy.

I've got no idea why the capitalized month makes a difference, there's either a complex reason for it, or its an issue the programmer has overlooked but for any of you who are struggling to complete their imports this is how to overcome it.

I hope this is of value.

Best wishes,

Martin

Fantastic, thanks for this! I struggled with my CSV files for the same reason and changing the date format to dd/MM/yyyy (in my case this is my import format), note MM in capitals, worked fine.
