Is it possible to share the same iCompta data over several computers? I have a main desktop computer which I use for work. Aside from that, I also have a laptop which I use when I travel. Would anyone have advice on this? Perhaps, this can be done with dropbox (http://www.getdropbox.com).

All you have to do is to copy your .compta file to all your computers. So you can use something like dropbox to do this automatically if you want.
