I can not seem to find how to assign a category to a downloaded transaction. i can select it but the drop down arrow for categories is greyed out? i can see and manage all my categories from the categories section, but not assign one in the transaction.

next problem i can not change the dates of the transactions? any help?

Have you got an external keyboard ? If you have one, the custom virtual date keyboard is not shown. Try to unplug it and it should appear.

yes i have a logitech ultra thin. have to turn it off to change the date? okie

Yes I know this is weird but Apple changed this in iOS 8. I already submitted the bug to Apple but it seems they are not going to rollback this behavior.
