How to show only totals in Bar Chart

Hi,
I want to see the evolution of for example, category Food, month by month using Bar Chart.
Since I shae te account with my husband, this is the set up I use:
Transaction filter: All is true
Splits owners contains LVM
Splits The category is Food
I dont include anything in Splits filter
I select type bar chart
I include start date 1st August 2023
Period set to 1 month
Group by Period and category (default)
Then I get both positive values (incomes) and negative (expenses). I want to see just the total.

One more question, can I see it as a grahp with a line instead of with bars?

I forgot to ask how to change the axis, and for example, make the expenses show positive (so I see increasing expenses in a more visual way)

Currently the display of the bar chart is not customizable in the way you want sorry.
