Dear Angeman,
Thanks again for iCompta.
I have seen lots of bug fixes lately and was curious, what is your plan for 2021 for this app?
I had the following open points in my mind:
- status of automatic import from iCloud Drive files: I remember I had to re-state the file path every time I wanted to import using Catalina (both cloud and local machine) Is this issue fixed?
- icompta scripting dictionary, to launch operations (run import or export configurations, save or fetch data of a specific report by name, alter value of variables) to provide easy automation with other applications or processes (e.g. let us create and share in the forum scripts to generate charts and scenarios with excel/numbers based on icompta content)
- tax rate reference to variable name inside rules. E.g. “if C then set tax rate to my_tax_rate”, currently it is “if X then set tax rate to n%”
- batch import security quotes
-support saltedge or similar service via paid upgrade: linxo focuses on the french market only so many of us are completely cut off.
Happy new year and 2021 plans

I don't understand what you mean sorry, could you explain a little more ?
Honestly Apple Script seems to be used less and less so I haven't planned to add that and I don't think many users would benefit from it.SRIC wrote: ↑31 December 2020, 11:43 - icompta scripting dictionary, to launch operations (run import or export configurations, save or fetch data of a specific report by name, alter value of variables) to provide easy automation with other applications or processes (e.g. let us create and share in the forum scripts to generate charts and scenarios with excel/numbers based on icompta content)
It would require a complete scripting language for the rules engine so it's too complicated sorry.
You can already do that in the quotes panel.
To use their API I need to pay a base fee for a minimum number of users (say 2000 for example) even if only 5 users are using it so I can't afford it currently because there are not enough users willing to pay for it outside of France…
Re: Happy new year and 2021 plans
thanks for the quick reply!
- for iCloud source files, I refer to my thread "Re: problem referencing iCloud files as source in the load" in the forum.
- Apple Script: ok thanks good to know
- batch import security quotes: I can import quotes one by one but not in batch, it's a problem as I have around 30 products not listed on boursorama, yahoo or google. I created a clickclick flow that mimics screen actions, but it's unstable due to screen refresh rate and general clunkiness of the approach. if this feature is not implemented what I could do is export the transactions related to the investments and work on securities in another app.
- support saltedge or similar service via paid upgrade: ok thanks, I will try to aggregate data in another application before sending it to icompta

Ok then still scheduled for iCompta 7
You can already import several quotes from different securities in a single import, you are not required to do it one by one.SRIC wrote: ↑31 December 2020, 23:33 batch import security quotes: I can import quotes one by one but not in batch, it's a problem as I have around 30 products not listed on boursorama, yahoo or google. Ok for the quotes then I’ll do that right away. Thanks!
