Importing text file..

Hi again,

next step (very important to me) is to import the data my Italian bank let me download as a text file. It is like below (in red):

C/C 01005 21600 ***********5

Divisa C/C EUR

Saldo contabile al 10/11/2010 +(my amount)

Data contabile Data valuta Causale ABI Descrizione Importo

1 08/11/2010 31/10/2010 66 Spese invio documento trasparen al 31.10.10 -1,00
2 08/11/2010 08/11/2010 45 Utilizzo carta di credito -1552,07
3 02/11/2010 29/10/2010 66 Canone Conto BNL Revolution -6,90

how can i set (or is it possible?) the popup dialog to import properly datas?

Is there a tab or a space between the different fields ? If it's a space you won't be able to import your file sorry.

Sorry I just checked and there are spaces between fields and not tabs so it can't be imported.

could i modify manually that stupid file? :D

Yes you can replace the spaces between 2 fields with one tab and then you should be able to import it.

which sysmbol is do you exactly mean for "tab"?

this one " " or this <>?

hi,

please be pacient..

i sent you i txt file that is the output of my homebanking.

Now can you please modify (to let iCompta import data) and send me back as sample, only 1 line of the .txt i sent you?

It will be a sample to me and will show me how to modify that files to be imported..just 1 line will be enought..
