I'm not sure this is what you are asking exactly but you can create a splits report and put "Period" and "Account" in the "Group by" field.

Then you can add conditions like "The account is XXX" in the transactions filter.

Please update numeric keyboard and remove and edit badges in app's first view (the one which contain all documents), these elements are still in old iOS 6 graphic!!
And please refresh balance tables after complete sync after launch on iOS and Mac (when I open iCompta an there's a new version of balance document, app download it but, table, refreshes only after view changing...)
