Hi everybody!
iCompta really is a great program, thank you VERY MUCH for your work!
I have a small problem, probably I'm not using iCompta the right way.
I'm managing a few bank accounts (for me and my wife) and cash-accounts in different currencies. Whenever I go to an ATM to get some cash, I use the transfer-button in iCompta. Since transfers are also handled as income / expense, it pushes up my statistics. If I transfer 2'000 EUR between two accounts, both my income and my expenses will raise by 2'000... So if I select all accounts to get my statistics, I'm getting wrong numbers...
Is there any better handling to get rid of this problem?
Thank you!

This will be corrected in V4.

Re: Problem with transfers between accounts and statistics
Has this been fixed in V4?
I tried transferring $1,500 from one account to another, and it raised both my income and expenditures totals for the month (when looking at all accounts) by $1,500 each.
I'm using version 4.0.4. Maybe I'm doing something incorrectly. I have the two transactions linked, and no category set.

You have to click "Ignore transfers" under the pie charts to avoid this.

Ah, I see. Is there also some way to ignore transfers in the "reports' view?Angeman wrote:You have to click "Ignore transfers" under the pie charts to avoid this.

At the bottom of the window, next to the button that opens the transaction editor is a button that has 3 horizontal lines.Angeman wrote:I'm sorry, which view do you mean exactly ?
When I click that it opens up the panel that says "Reports". (It's the one just to the left of the pie chart)
Since I have several different categories, this view is easier to look at my monthly spending than the pie charts. In this view I can't figure out a way to ignore transfers, so all of my transfers show up under income and expenses.
Thank you for all of your assistance. great software, and great support.

The "Ignore transfers" button of the pie charts works for the reports view too.

Oh, cool. I didn't notice that, as the Reports view comes first in the sequence at the bottom.
