Account Import from bank issues

I have iCompta 5 and each time I import from my bank, the iCompta balance is different from the bank balance - by a lot! I've spoken to the bank's IT people and they said there is not a problem on their end and it must be an iCompta issue. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

Have you created a transaction for the initial balance of your account ?

Yes, I posted a transaction with the beginning balance from my last statement which would be the ending balance for the month of October. It gives me a difference of $-1131.37

So the very first transaction you created in iCompta starts on November 1st, is that right ?

I used the balance from my bank statement from October 22nd

You didn't answer my question anyway to make it simple : if you have a difference of -1131.37 create a transaction of -1131.37 and you're good to go.
