Cash transactions that do not affect balance

Post by pattern86 »

Hi
I have a feature request, I think (unless there's a way to do this now and I don't know it)

I would like the ability to enter cash transactions that don't affect the account balance, so that I can still manage my spending by category. I'll explain.

Say I deposit a check into my bank account (+ Check Deposit) but I get part of it back in cash at the time of deposit (- Cash Withdrawal/Cash Dispenser) and then later I spend this cash partially at different places (i.e. Coffee, Auto Fuel, Etc.). I cannot currently record this spending information using iCompta, I don't think! Is there a way to do this now, or can it be implemented?

Thanks ahead of time!

You have to create a cash account for this. In you bank account you will only record the check deposit and cash withdrawal. Then on your cash account you can record your different payments.
