Is there a way to set the scope of a report to everything under a parent category?
For example, I have an Expenses category with a bunch of subcategories.
In making a comparative report, I'd like to capture all the transactions under the Expenses parent category.
But it seems like I have to manually add all the subcategories in the splits filter section.
Am I failing to see/understand something about filtering here?
Thanks!
Parent category includes child categories?

Re: Parent category includes child categories?
Currently it's not possible but it will added in version 6.
Re: Parent category includes child categories?
OK, great! Looking forward to it.
For now, the export options make it possible to build a spreadsheet that'll help me organise the information the way I want, but of course it'll be a lot more efficient when version 6 comes along. Hopefully in time for next year's taxes…
Anyway, I'm finding iCompta to be really flexible and helpful. Thanks for your work!
