Cant open iCompta after El capitan upgrade

Post by Dembrey »

Hi,

I've just performed a clean install of El Capitan upgrading from Yosemite.

Having copied over my .icompta file and re-installed iCompta 4.0.13(version I was running under Yosemite) from the App Store, impossible to open iCompta. Either by launching the App or opening the .compta file directly, the app icon appears in the dock for a second or so then disappears.

I use SuperDuper! for backup, and when I reboot from this drive, and hence back to Yosemite, no problem in opening the file - so I conclude it`s not a problem of corruption of my .icompta datafile. Even tried restoring the backup file from Timemachine - no luck doing that either.

Any help on what to do/try next would be appreciated - I've got several years worth of account history stored and really don't want to lose it.

Regards.

I Can't open my iCompta 4.0.13.
I use Mac OS 10.6.8 , and my iCompta has been working with not problem until today.

Even re-installing iCompta 4.0.13, it doesn't run.

This is most certainly an issue with the Mac App Store, please wait a few hours and try to download it again from the Mac App Store.

Same issue this morning, the app closes itself automatically. I've removed it and re-installed from the store but same issue.

Please advise on what we could do to debug it (there's no crash report), thanks.

Nothing, just wait and try again later, as advised above.

I have upgraded to El Capitan several weeks ago, but today, as the rest of the people here, the app does not open. Please, we need to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance

By the way, great app until now ;-)

Running El Capitan for weeks, running iCompta for weeks in El Capitan - this morning it refuses to start.... What is going on?

Update - just downloaded the free shareware version of 4.0.13 and it works perfectly...... when I first started iCompta today, a message briefly came up saying that iCompta wasn't purchased for this computer - have you messed up the licensing link?
