Thank you for sharing a screen shot of the new interface. Not sure I care for the new transaction bars. A simpler approach may be more helpful ... especially with such a busy interface.

Just a suggestion.

I would love it if the interface for iCompta was refined to resemble that of the program Things (http://culturedcode.com/things/). They have the same basic structure, but I find Things to be much more refined and easier to view and work in.

Why don't you create a category tag called "Tax Deduction" and just tag those items ... you could also just use the highlight feature to flag them as well. Then just filter the view to only show "Tax Deduction". You could even just add a comment in one of the comment in the kind ...
