Re: Version 6

Should I enter the total(2930) under the 1000(total no of shares)?

Also,48.35, 15, 0.8 and 6 are all supposed to be deducted from the total. How can they be positive? I might not be understanding what you are telling me.

Re: Version 6

Many Thanks. That worked. Another problem. I assigned a category of "Taxes" to the -28.47 amount during the creation of the split. How do I assign a category of "Dividend/Interest before Tax" to the 189.77 and a Category of "Dividend/Interest after Tax" to the 161.30? I...

Re: Version 6

I still can’t get it right. I have a dividend voucher and I want to enter a gross income of 189.77, a Tax of 28.47 and a net dividend of 161.30. Where do I have to put these numbers?
Thank you again for your help.

Re: Version 6

I have tried what you suggested but I must be doing something wrong. If the total dividend is 100 and the tax is 30, how do you compute the net Dividend to 70?

Re: Version 6

I am trying to create a split transaction for entering a share dividend. I need to enter the dividend amount but need to deduct the tax due, Can this be done in the same transaction or do I need to create two separate transactions for this?
Thanks.
