Re: iCompta 2 and iOS8
I'm now on IOS 8.0.2 and iCompta 2 still doesn't work. I did purchase iCompta 3 when it was first offered, but found too many difficulties with it initially. So now I'm waiting on Apple to do their bit to make the older version work on the iPad and for a simple way to import data from iC 2 to iC 3. ...

Re: Syncing iCompta3 with my OS X iCompta
Thanks for the information in your replies to my three queries. It is unfortunate that iCompta5 for Mac was not advertised before iCompta3 for IOS. It would have made sense that the new IOS version was made for the new Mac OS version and saved a lot of trouble. I will revert to iCompta2 for IOS and ...

Syncing iCompta3 with my OS X iCompta
So, the new iCompta3 isn't automatically recognised by my Mac's iCompta, nor does Local Sync appear as available in iCompta3. The HELP page tells me that both devices must have their sync lines open then they can see each other. However, with the Sync open in iCompta3 and hit the sync button on 4.0....

Transfers between accounts in iCompta3
The simple and intuitive transfer function seems a bit obscured in this newly revamped iCompta. From my bank account, I edited a transfer from the bank account to a credit card account. I expected this to be automatically entered in the card's account. But no, it did not appear. I went to HELP to be...

Selecting account in iCompta3
Is there a trick to selecting an account? The old tried-and-true iPad iCompta was simple and intuitive, this new one has, so far, proved less than intuitive and almost random in some of its actions. When I select one account, its transactions don't usually appear until I've selected and re-selected ...

Re: Feature request/addition:
One other thought on the 'Tax Deductible' category tag: I often have multiple tags on a single expenditure. Sometimes one of the categories, for, say, 25% of the transaction, is tax relevant. The work-around suggested by headbirth would still mean further sorting of the filtered transaction after ex...

Re: Feature request/addition:
Hmmm, so I'd tag a categorised transaction, say one that was in the category 'Music Cds and scores' (we're musicians), with another category 'Tax deductible' with a zero %/$ amount, and gather it and all other 'Tax deductibles' with the filter, then export to a spreadsheet and re-sort by the substan...

Re: Feature request/addition:
Another feature request, apologies if it has already been dealt with. Down the right hand side of the iCompta screen runs the set of characteristics of a transaction. This is my first financial year and I haven't yet used the information to organise my personal taxation records as yet. However, I ha...

Re: Move a transaction from one account to another
I've now pensioned off my old iBook G4 in favour of a 2010 model MacMini, the fastest one I could buy, with Snow Leopard of course. The disappearing transaction problem has also disappeared, so it looks like a G4 problem.

Re: Suggestions
I am on holiday in Switzerland and so have now an account in Chf. The program asks me to specify an exchange rate, so I did so. But when I entered my local currency used to purchase the Swiss francs, as a transfer to the Chf account, it was not converted at the rate of exchange I had specified. Many...
