Suggestion: Splits and 'Ratio'

I've really appreciated the change to splits that let you turn off making the transaction the sum of splits (because in 99% of cases I've imported the transaction so the total is correct, and then subsequently split it, so never want anything I do to change the total). So thanks for that :) I've fou...

Rules for modifications - append?

I just came across the 'Modify Comment' action in the rules, and was quite excited, because sometimes I want to add some extra info to a comment to remind me of things later on. For example, the word 'refund' on refunds, or a guess at the purpose, or '???' if I know that I'm going to need to look mo...

Reconciliation of transfers updates linked transaction (even if locked)

My credit card payments are a transfer from one account to another, with the transaction in each account always occurring on different days (different institutions, evidently 1-2 days in transit). I assume this is pretty normal with transfers in general between banks. I've just noticed that when rec...

Suggestion: Budget features

I've recently started using the Budget feature in iCompta, and thought I'd give a bit of feedback: 1. If I enter a category into a budget and set the amount to $0, it won't show up in the budget. I'm not sure how intentional this is, but for me it would make sense to be able to track something I don...

Re: Any way to limit history processing for imports?

Unfortunately that's what my bank provides. It's an annoyance, and something I've asked them to fix, but that's what the export button does :?

Any way to limit history processing for imports?

The CSV/OFX/QIF exports from my bank are a full transaction history for the account, all the way back to opening the account. This was okay for a while, but the imports have become *really* slow. We're talking about 30 seconds to process the import of about 2500 transactions (between when I choose w...

Re: Balance Evolution Graphic

one more thing to add, it'd be good if the vertical & horizontal axes remained visible when you zoom in i.e. rather than treat it like a picture that i'm zooming in on, treat it like a cut-down view-port to see a section of the graph, if that makes sense? there's probably a few ways to achieve t...

Re: Simple find/search function

ah... thanks! sorry have somehow removed it from my toolbar... any chance of 1. hooking up the "Edit:Find" (cmd+F) menu item to the toolbar? (its always greyed out, even with the search bar back in my toolbar) 2. having transaction search match against categories too? (seems to be name &am...

Re: Balance Evolution Graphic

i find that zooming out is slightly awkward, and unintuitive... - the alt+double-click was a surprise — maybe allow alt or command + single click so it's easier to find? (since those otherwise do nothing) - second, if you hold alt and repeatedly double-click it doesn't 'unzoom' more than once — you ...
