Suggestion on input of Transfer

Currently when we input transfer item, display shows;

Debited account
Credited account
Date
Frequency
Amount
Category

(I still doubt about "Category" for transfer item and no other accounting software has it, but anyway no harm.)

However, we see the item under each account, it shows, of course, in the same way as others;

Name: "Transfer to ...." or "Transfer from..."
Comment
Date
Amount

Means of payment
Kind: Set "Transfer" as default
Info

Categories
-----
----
---

The current setting is input "Transfer to ...." or "Transfer from..." in the Name and "Transfer" in the Kind.
But we should have the name and comments in the input menu for Transfer between Credited account and Date.
And appear "to[Credited account] " or "from[Debited account] " in the Info column in the Means of payment rather than under the Name.
In this way, we can utilize the Name column (as well as Comment) for the purpose...

No 'autosave' in version 2.1.2 lite with iOS 4.0

Hi,

I updated to version 2.1.2 and iOS 4.0 and noted that after that, if I just add a transaction, without saving the file (in the main window), and exit the application, the transaction is lost. Before this version, the transactions were always saved.

I'm using iPhone 3G with iOS 4.0

OK. Understand. But still in terms of "feeling" (in other words, man to machine interface), it may be better to have the delete button before click "-", although the current way does not create a real problem.

Once you have touched the - button you still have to touch the delete button that appear on the right so there is already an extra step.

However My English is so poor, and I don't know any terms in iCompta how are used (I saw resource files, but I can not understand terms so much), if it's OK, I'll help you.

And, my friend can help this works for reward, she'll do very good job (She is a Japanese, but her English is better than her Japanese!).

Hi,
it's been several months since I bought icompta and icompta mobile and I'm quite happy with icompta desktop. Unfortunately since when I bought icompta mobile (my iphone os version was 3.1.2) I've never been able to sync with my desktop application.
I used to have the icompta lite app and I couldn't sync either so I thought it wasn't working because it was a 'lite' version, so I bought the full version (I've unistalled the lite version before installing the full).
I've read several topics and tried quite all, but still no luck.
Now I have OS 4.0.2 on my iphone but I still can't sync with my mac. Note that I've saveral apps that works with wifi synch (like 1password pro or GoodReader) and they all work perfectly !!
I've tried to reset the router (a dlink DIR-655), reinstall the app on my iphone, reinstall the app on my mac but nothing.

What I usually do is:

1.open icompta on my mac
2.enable wifi on my iphone
3.start icompta mobile
4.click on the iphone icon on the icompta desktop ...

Thank you very much for your clarification.

I have 2 other suggestions.
(1) Deletion of account
It is too easy to delete an account. "-" button appears when I wrongly press "Edit" button.
I believe it should have one more step to delete it, for example, add "Delete" button after pressing "Edit" button, then "-" button appears.

(2) Participants
When I select one of participants, I need to add % (or amount) again. I think many users prefer 100% as defualt rather than 0%.

Hello,

We want iCompta to localize for Japanese user.

I'm a Japanese user, and my mother tongue is Japanese.
However many many Japanese users love iCompta, iCompta has not localized for Japanese yet, and there're difficult financial terms.
iCompta is very useful & cool applications, we, Japanese users feel, but we have difficulties to use iCompta upon financial terms by foreign language.

Please localize iCompta to Japanese, and this increase Japanese user.

You can already backup by syncing with your Mac and by connecting to the embedded backup/restore server with your navigator. So mail backup is not a priority sorry.

You have to enable the "Display balance" switch in Settings application this way you will see the reconciled balance in the transactions list as well and when you touch the status icon it will update the balancedirectly.

This seems like a fairly key feature, as it's really impossible to read the reports without being able to ignore the transfers.

Does it have a function to show the balance of reconciliation while I am clicking the reconcile button without going back to the list of account?

(2) Cleaning transactions
In the setting, there is a function to set "number of months to keep".
I do not like this function because I cannot select to disable it or "unlimit".
I really need to keep the data almost forever as far as I live, although I surely update iPhone itself.

Date entry bug(?)

There is mismatch between the date window and date wheel. Date wheel shows 1 day before.
I am not sure when it happens, but so far my iComptaMobile shows this for any entry of date.

I appreciate if you let me know how to solve it.

Anyway you should try to synchronize once with "Send document to iPhone" mode before trying to synchronize with "Synchronize" mode again.

Hi Angeman,

I attached the iCompta problem report, just in case it helps. I did the next: connected iMac to the wifi network, connected iPhone to the wifi network, launched iCompta on my iPhone, launched iCompta on my iMac, I pressed the icon like a little iPhone on the bottom right corner of the application and when synchronization seemed to finish... the iCompta in my iMac suddenly crashed (as always) and the attached message appeared. I hope you can help me.

In fact this is intended to be in the "Info" field, the one just below the payment method.
